Please be sure your customer knows what to expect. If the fabric is listed as a "Conventional Random - No Match" the pattern will not be matched on any style. BRIDGEPORT 983-70, 983-60 HAYVENHURST 7092-70 TOUSLEY 873-70 TOUSLEY 873-96/97, 873-94 FABRICS NOT RECOMMENDED Matched Patterns Not Recommended On a number of our more shapely styles, perfectly matching a pattern is virtually impossible. Due to the in- herent geometry of the frame–accented by the pattern repeat or layout of the fabric–a perfect flow match is impossible. This is especially apparent in styles with tufting, curved seams, or highly contoured backs and arms. Striped and plaid fabrics will often converge at an angle, rather than flow seamlessly into each other. And a large pattern repeat can often look awkwardly placed. On frame styles that we know this has been a challenge, we’ve added a cautionary recommendation (see COV- ER INFO). Please see examples below. And in every case, be as- sured that our skilled upholsterers will make every effort to layout your fabric selections in the most attractive way possible. Please make sure you and your custom- ers understand these fabric recommendations, so there are no disappointments. Button Pattern Notation On matched patterns, like large prints and stripes, the small button cover will most likely not match the rest of the pattern flow. Heavy Fabrics Not Recommended On a number of our furniture designs, with fine details, a heavier upholstery fabric is not appropriate. These heavier fabrics are often particularly desirable for their depth of pattern weave technique, for their durability, and for their frequently rich appearance. However, when it comes to details like border skirts, delicate pleat- ing, or tufting, they are virtually impossible to execute satisfactorily. As a warning, we’ve added a cautionary recommendation to furniture styles where heavier fabrics are not suitable (see COVER INFO). Please make sure you and your customers understand these fabric recom- mendations, so there are no disappointments. Matched Patterns Not Allowed Because of the especially shapely contours on these designs, matched patterns are not allowed.
