Garcia led host Steve Weldon and his crew up Big Sur’s Tan Bark Trail during the June episode. Along the way, they talked about local plants, chatted with other hikers and discussed the region’s Esselen roots. The “Walkin’ West” crew also used the 6iver -nn as a home Fase while ½lming in the area. In July, Pèppoli at Pebble Beach celebrat- ed its 25th anniversary with an event headlined by Tuscan winemaker Piero Antinori. It was a rare U.S. appearance by the patriarch of the Antinori family, which has been in the wine business for more than 600 years. The Pèppoli gathering featured a strolling reception with regional Italian food, plus wine pairings show- casing Antinori’s Italian and Californian estates and the Pèppoli vineyard that gives the restau- rant its name.
