Owner of Monterey Bay Football Club (MBFC), Ray Beshoff, is responsible for bring- ing professional football (or soccer, as Americans call it) to the Monterey Peninsula. W ith well over four billion fans, football (soccer to Americans) is the most popular professional sport on earth. Now, Monterey Bay Football Club (MBFC) brings professional-level football to our region. Following a successful auto business career, Liverpool-raised Ray Beshoff founded MBFC. “I saw the old, dilapidated football stadium at former Fort Ord and felt that it was waiting for someone to rescue it.” And rescue it he did.
