T he aptly named nonprofit Power 3ver ParOinson’s P3P supports locals with ParOinson’s P( and related diseases liOe 0ewy Body (ementia and their families, giving individ - uals both physical and emotional strength°the power°to persevere. The nonprofit began with +ina 7piller’s search for local evidence based e\ercise classes that could support her son 1iOe, a golf pro who was diagnosed with =oung 3nset ParOinson’s. 7he couldn’t find the classes he needed, so she rallied friends with drive and Onow how Penny (uncOel and Cindy >oller 7ilver, a retired nonprofit e\ecutive. The trio teamed up with (r. 1aria Bellumori, a nationally Onown ParOinson’s researcher and C791B pro - fessor, and together they launched P3P. P3P provides evidence based movement classes, speech therapy, support groups, bimonthly educational worOshops to Oeep members educat - ed on P(, and space for their incredibly positive and supportive community to gather and sociali^e. Those who have received services often give bacO.
