Spring 2024
A fter a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the iconic Pebble Beach Food & Wine is back this April with world-class chefs, extraordinary activities, and glasses and plates full of rare delicacies. Working in tandem with Agency 21, Pebble Beach Company extended programming to add more intimate and educa- tional events to balance the large-scale tasting and dining experiences. (A21 manages some of the nation’s preeminent food and wine festivals, including South Beach and New York.) “True to its roots, Pebble Beach Food & Wine has brought together the best talent in the world of food and wine with the continued presence of Michelin Star chefs, James Beard Award winners, master sommeliers, and some of the most notable up-and-coming chefs across the country,” says Pebble Beach Resorts Chief Operating Officer Caroline MacDonald. “We are thrilled this year to have one of the most robust and diverse slate of event offer- ings to date.” According to MacDonald, this year’s Tasting Pavilion is bigger and better than ever, both literally and figuratively, with VIP cabanas and a communal courtyard to elevate the guest experience. Additionally, she says, many of the events taking place this year are occurring for the very first time. “Friday’s Culinary Lineage: A Master & Protégé Dinner is an example of a brand-new dinner concept, where the successful disciples of some of the country’s most award-winning chefs will create dishes that pay tribute to their teachers,” MacDonald shares.“A few other first- time events include The Quality Italian Dinner: A Feast with Culinary Masters and Recreating the Perfect Years—The Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Experience.” 170 C A R M E L M A G A Z I N E • S P R I N G 2 0 2 4 Rare, unusual, extraordinary, creative and freshly prepared bespoke drinks and culinary creations are celebrated at multiple locations at Pebble Beach Resorts during PBFW.
