The 30th Annual PG Auto Rally, which takes place on August 16, will spotlight more than 200 classic cars. Participants line Lighthouse Avenue starting at noon. At 5 p.m., drivers depart for a round-trip coastal cruise along Ocean View Boulevard and into Pebble Beach. Special displays will celebrate the 60th anniver- sary of the Mustang, and awards will recognize entries in several categories. Since 1995, the rally has raised nearly $750,000 for youth programs and community projects. “For Rotary, it’s about service above self. Rotarians are very passionate about helping our community,” Hardenstein says. 2ot much has changed since the event’s first presentation, and that’s by design. “;e’re in downtown 4acific +rove, and it’s just a sweet, beautiful setting. Everybody’s in a great mood. Everybody enjoys the beautiful cars. People love driving in the rally, and they love being here for car week,” Hardenstein says. “It’s a lot of great things all rolled into one.” For more information, visit www.pgrotary.org.
