His human, chiro- practic Dr. Jamie Lucia, keeps him in great shape. “He eats holistically, and gets regular care,” Lucia says. “After all, he has a job here at Dogma in the Crossroads and it’s import- ant for him to be balanced mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.” Joey and Peggy Sue T hese bichon-poos (bichon/ poodle mix) are the darlings of the Kathy Sharpe Studio & Gallery in Carmel’s Court of the Fountains. Sharpe paints on site, accompanied most days by six- month-old Peggy Sue. “Joey has a loud voice, so mostly stays at home. He’s very friendly though,” she says. Peggy Sue, however, draws in passersby who then look over Sharpe’s colorful paintings— including a portrait of Joey. “If your dog is fat, you’re not getting enough exercise.” ~ unknown
