Photo: Robbie McCay According to Clarence Habovstak, director of business development, this year’s Concorso Italiano event will celebrate anniversaries, including the 35th anniversary of the Lamborghini Diablo and the 30th anniversary of the Ferrari F50. of events when the new Grand Hyatt Seaside Resort Hotel (currently under construction) opens,” Kosta shares. New this year will be RADwood, part of The Paddock, an event that Kosta says is the “polar opposite of fancy, upscale Car Week events” and will be a party-like event with a DJ and live music. “The curated RADwood special feature at The Paddock on Friday will celebrate the bold designs, analog performance and automotive nostalgia of the 1980s and 1990s with a vibrant showcase of iconic supercars and retro classics,” Habovstak says. “This high-energy event offers a refreshing contrast to the elegance of Pebble Beach andThe Quail, immersing enthusiasts in the cars and cul- ture that defined a generation. Stay tuned and get ready for a ‘rad’ neon-fueled celebration like no other during Monterey Car Week.” Also new this year is a selection of “culinary cabanas” offered on Friday night as a VIP expe- rience. “It’s very hard to get a restaurant reser- vation for 10-20 people during Car Week, but if your car is in the show, you can park them around a cabana and a chef will cook dinner for you and your friends,” Kosta shares. “We curate the experience to your liking. If you want bottle service and appetizers or a full dinner with a wait staff and a chef, we will provide it.” Whether its car owners who are displaying their prized vehicles and rejoining friends at the annual event, families bringing their children to learn more about Italian marques, or dedicated enthusiasts who love to see what is on display, The Paddock and Concorso Italiano have some- thing for everyone. International Car Week events are held at Bayonet Black Horse, located at 1 McClureWay in Seaside. For more information, call 831/783-9049 or visit www.internationalcarweek.com .
