Winter 2025

In 2007, Rick Caruso purchased the property and began a true restoration, opening Rosewood Miramar Beach in 2019. “The resort pays tribute to Paul Revere Williams, the architect of the original property, with his original drawings on display within the entryway,” Plouchart says.“The resort’s design is inspired by the original bungalow-style planta- tion design and features several design details that nod to the past, such as the reinstated boardwalk for sunset strolls and custom Pantone shades.” Charming elements include the Scoop Shop, which serves gourmet burgers and house-made gelato at the family friendly Manor Pool, electric bicycles to explore the area, whimsical jollies (canopy covered transportation with wicker seats chauffeured by hotel staff), lawn games, nightly s’mores at the firepits and movie nights. The impeccable and beautifully designed rooms are stocked with countless thoughtful amenities, such as a pair of youth-sized branded Miramar sunglasses, a train cap, bath kit and a small robe and slippers for the youngest guests, and sunglass cleaning wipes, luxury branded toi- letries, in-room bar and much more for adults. Housekeeping staff somehow manage to be whisper quiet yet available to anticipate every need imaginable. The resort also provides spe- cial treats for visiting pets. “We like to think we are the most pet-friend- ly resort in the country,” Plouchart says. “We have a pampered pets program and welcome dogs, cats and even birds to the resort.”The pet menu includes steak and eggs, burger patties with rice, and chicken and veggies. Adult dining options are plentiful.
