CONCEPT Maligne, a mixture of contemporary European and classic Ameri- can dining, is an approachable fine dining restaurant. It’s seafood- driven menu celebrates the bounty of the surrounding region’s land and sea. Inspired by the warm and gener- ous hospitality Chef Klaus Georis witnessed in his childhood, along with his work in Michelin- star restaurants on two continents, he and his team now wish to bring the excellence and integrity of a fine dining experience to their community. Maligne, which derives from the French word for“clever,” “sly,” or even “troublesome,” indicates that Chef Georis is eager to put his own playfully irreverent spin on contemporary gastronomy. We believe that a fine dining experience should be approachable, and accessible to all who love food and wine. The definition of approachable and accessible might vary from guest to guest.
