The Brew Bus Br ings Beverages to Peninsula Events B Y M I CHA E L CHAT F I E LD L ife coach Tony Robbins lists “Practicing Positivity” as one of the ten ways to over- come adversity. Entrepreneur and environmen- talist Mike Baroni exudes positivity. Baroni launched Green Pedal Couriers, his first venture, in 2009, delivering for restaurants using nothing but “man and bike power.” A few years later, he was struck by a car while making deliveries, leaving him with injuries that limited his biking. “Eventually I started NitroCycle,” he says. His electric powered carts dispense unique, nitrogen-infused coffees, teas and juices at area markets and festivals. They’re also avail- able in cans. As a life-long lover of bicycling, Baroni had never bothered—or seen a need—to obtain a driver’s license. Recently, he decided to try something new, buying a 1985 VW Vanagon. “I’m not going to be able to ride as much, so I had to pivot,” he says, “and that’s when my wife Natasha and I decided to buy the bus.” He rebuilt the engine, installed beverage taps, and launched his third business, the Brew Bus. “We’ll have six taps, serving NitroCycle products plus beer and wine at private events.” The next step? Converting the VW to a clean electric vehicle. For more info about Baroni’s enterprises, visit www.nitrocycle831.com , www.brewbus831.com or call 831/920-8181.
