He loves to dig holes and fetch balls between waves. Lilly T he first thing this Border Collie/Australian Cattle dog mix does mornings at Pilgrim’s Way Books is run into the Secret Garden to check for invading neighborhood cats. Then she curls up and gets comfortable in the front window. She’s acquired an impressive vocabulary. “We documented the phrases and words that she consistently responds to. Right now, she’s at 94,” says owner Cynthia Fernandes. “Pretty good for a dog.” “A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes or designer clothes.
