They cruise around with me, but they don’t go into hous- es.” Dana maintains a home office, and appropriately for dogs in the real estate busi- ness, they are homebodies and hang out with her there. “They appreciate the fact that I have my office here. They love being home.” Frank J osh Ohanian puts in long hours as general manager of Sanctuary Vacation Rentals. But Frank, an eight-year-old Dachshund mix, is on a permanent vacation. He only shows up at the office once a week or so, and never visits the company’s properties. “Like a true vacationer, he loves the beach and loves to swim,” Josh says. “When he is here though, he has to say hi to everyone who comes in or he loses his mind.” “I think we are drawn to dogs because they are the uninhibited creatures we might be if we weren’t certain we knew better.” ~ George Bird Evans, “Troubles with Bird Dogs”
